Spyglass is an advanced endoscopic technique that allows direct visual inspection inside the bile duct using a tiny fibreoptic camera. It can visualise and treat stones — especially large, impacted, or multiple CBD stones — that conventional ERCP cannot remove.

When is ERCP needed?

What is an upper GI endoscopy used for?
An upper GI endoscopy (gastroscopy) is used to diagnose and treat stomach ulcers, GERD/acidity, oesophageal strictures, gastric polyps, and to identify and control upper GI bleeding. It is performed under sedation and takes about 15–20 minutes.
